Introduction to Classification and Working Principle of Shearing Cuttimg Machines

Buying the right sheet cutting machine is more important than buying a good one. Understanding the classification and pros and cons of different types of sheet cutting machines can help you make a more informed decision and reduce the hassle in your purchasing process.

sheet cutting machines are generally classified into two major types: CNC hydraulic sheet cutting machines and mechanical sheet cutting machines. However, what customers care about is the selection based on economic practicality. How can you choose a sheet cutting machine effectively? It is selected based on the thickness of the plate, which we refer to as thin plate, medium-thick plate, and thick plate, respectively. They are further divided into thin plate sheet cutting machines, medium-thick plate sheet cutting machines, and thick plate sheet cutting machines.

Working principle of sheet cutting machines

A sheet cutting machine is a machine that cuts sheets by moving an upper blade back and forth in a straight line relative to a lower blade. By using a scientifically reasonable blade gap, the upper blade in motion and the fixed lower blade apply a shearing force to sheets of various thicknesses, forcing them to break apart according to the customer's desired dimensions.

Differences between CNC hydraulic sheet cutting machines and mechanical sheet cutting machines

Different transmission methods: CNC hydraulic sheet cutting machines are driven by hydraulic power, while mechanical sheet cutting machines are driven by mechanical power.

Different cutting principles: CNC hydraulic sheet cutting machines adopt the swing cutting principle, while mechanical sheet cutting machines adopt the gate cutting principle.

Different precision control effects: CNC hydraulic sheet cutting machines are programmed for control, while mechanical sheet cutting machines are manually adjusted.

Classification of sheet cutting machines according to their applications

Special purpose sheet cutting machines

It is used in conjunction with other equipment to complete special purposes:

Inclined blade sheet cutting machines

The upper and lower two blades of the sheet cutting machine form an angle, and the upper blade is generally inclined. The cutting force of the inclined blade sheet cutting machine is smaller than that of the flat blade sheet cutting machine, so the motor power and overall weight are greatly reduced, making it the most commonly used type in practical applications. Most sheet cutting machine manufacturers produce this type of sheet cutting machine.

Flat blade sheet cutting machines

The cutting quality is good, and the distortion and deformation are small, but the cutting force and energy consumption are high. The upper and lower two blades of the sheet cutting machine are parallel to each other and are commonly used for the initial cutting of hot rolling billets and slabs in the rolling mill. According to their cutting methods, they can be divided into up-cutting type and down-cutting type.

Multi-purpose sheet cutting machines

The above is the full content of the sheet cutting machine. If you happen to need to purchase a sheet cutting machine, be sure to determine in advance what kind of product you want to process, understand your own needs, and then make the purchase.
